We focus on our city's future

VFI is making a real impact in the lives of New York City's young adults. Last year over 83% of VFI participants completed the intensive, 15-week career training and education program. 85% of graduates were placed in jobs and 82% of those placed were still employed after a year. Over 67% of clients passed their GED and many went on to college.

VFI provides young people in New York City with a comprehensive set of free educational services including:

• Career Training in the growing occupations of Bank Teller, Medical Administrative Assistant, Customer Service Rep, Computer Technology, Security Guard, and Office Support.
• GED Prep and On-Site Testing, in partnership with the NYC Department of Education GED Plus program.
• Career Counseling, Mentoring and Individualized Support.
• Job Placement in entry-level jobs with the best possible salary, benefits and potential for advancement.
  
• Two years of Work Retention follow-up to ensure alumni not only maintain their employment but also move up in their careers.
